BRANDING & DESIGN

Myrl's Market Barbecue is a full circle barbecue company based in Hopkins, MN. They sell high quality smoked meats, and fabricate custom open fire cooking equipment. Tracing along the generational lines of the owner's grandfather who was a professional baseball player turned town butcher, the logo is a nod to the family history. I landed on a nostalgic baseball font and paired it with a vintage illustration of a pig. Rounding out the identity, I created a distressed collection of retro iconography that conveys both barbecue and the electric spark of welding to capture the end-to-end nature of this specialty business.​

MY ROLE  Created logo, color palette, sub-marks, and iconography. On this foundation I designed a collection of assets, including business cards, branded butcher paper, to-go bags, t-shirts, and a 10 x 10 pop-up tent for local markets.
